On October 1, 2018, the magazine National Geographic released a running list of actions, developments, and solutions aiming at reducing environmental plastic pollution. The list is a part of National Geographic’s multiyear project “Planet or Plastic” (FPF reported) and will be updated regularly.
Initiatives by, e.g., retailers, restaurants, consumer-facing companies, and airlines to reduce plastic packaging have been covered since May 2018. In addition, bans on various plastic articles in cities or states around the world are listed.
