On January 30, 2019, non-governmental organization Collaborative on Health and the Environment (CHE) held a webinar titled “Microplastics: An emerging threat to global ecology and public health.” The webinar focused on “the sources, contamination, and impacts of microplastics and microfibers, including impacts on wildlife as well as potential exposure pathways and effects on humans” (FPF reported). Talks were given by two speakers: Chelsea Rochman, from the University of Toronto, Canada; and Stephanie Wright, from King’s College London, UK.
