On November 12, 2019, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) will host a webinar titled “Revised REACH information requirements for nanoforms: are you ready?” at 1:30pm Central European Time. The webinar will focus on explaining how a nanoform is defined, how to build a set of similar nanoforms, and how to meet the data requirements for nanoforms under REACH. The new fields introduced into the International Uniform Chemical Information Database (IUCLID) for reporting characterization parameters of nanoforms will also be presented and discussed with examples. Registration for the webinar is open.

Several REACH annexes that have been updated with respect to nanoforms will come into force on January 1, 2020 (FPF reported). On October 8, 2019, ECHA published a press release outlining information sources for the new requirements and a timeline of activities that will take place before they come into force.
