On June 30, 2017, European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) launched a public consultation on its draft protocol for the hazard assessment of bisphenol A (BPA, CAS 80-05-7). Written comments can be submitted by September 3, 2017 (FPF reported).
Following this consultation, EFSA plans to hold a workshop aiming “to engage in discussion with all the stakeholders and other relevant parties, and to gather additional feedback on its draft protocol.” This workshop will take place in Brussels on September 14, 2017, and is “intended for all interested stakeholders, especially those contributing to the public consultation with expertise in the area of BPA, toxicology, systematic reviews and/or protocol development.”
Online registration is now open and will be closed when the maximum number of participants (60) is reached, or by August 25, 2017 at the latest.
