The European Commission and the U.S. National Nanotechnology Coordination Office are co-organizing a workshop entitled “EU-U.S. Bridging NanoEHS Research Efforts”. The workshop aims to promote and deepen the EU-U.S. collaboration in the field of nanosafety research. It will be hosted by the EU-funded Sustainable Nanotechnologies Project (SUN) on March 12-13, 2015 in Venice, Italy. It will bring together scientists and policy makers from academia, research institutes, industry and government working in nanosafety research. Nanomaterials are increasingly used in food contact materials (FCMs), as has been summarized previously by the Food Packaging Forum. The workshop is free of charge and open to the public. Registration, on a first-come, first-served basis, is open until February 15, 2015.
