On March 24, 2022, ETH Zürich hosted a session of its Collegium Helveticum conference series titled: «Everyday-everywhere chemicals and the human exposome: What drives our exposure to toxic chemicals in our daily lives and how can we reduce this?» Within this event, Food Packaging Forum scientists Jane Muncke and Lisa Zimmermann presented on the presence of chemicals in food contact materials, what the science shows about their migration into food, and the health risks that can result. Recent research and resources related to bioplastics as well as micro- and nanoplastics are also presented. The presentation is followed by a discussion with the audience. All of the other recorded presentations from the conference are also available to watch.
