The Safety in Use and Emerging Technologies in Food Packaging (SAFEMTECH) project, supported by the European Commission and Marie Curie Industry Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP), has two main objectives. First, to study adhesives formulations in order to improve their safety in use in food packaging. Second, to develop active and intelligent packaging systems at industrial level. The project is a collaborative effort between Goglio, an Italian multinational company active in the food packaging sector, and the University of Zaragoza, Spain. SAFEMTECH closing conference on food packaging safety will take place on February 19, 2015 in Zaragoza, Spain. The conference will cover important achievements of the project.
