In an article published on February 19, 2016 the Nanotechnology Industries Association (NIA) informs that the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has released a new document evaluating endpoints and methods for testing physico-chemical properties of nanomaterials. Assessed parameters include e.g. chemical composition, particle size distribution, specific surface area, and surface chemistry. The document is part of the OECD’s Working Party on Manufactured Nanomaterials testing program and their publication series ‘Safety of Manufactured Nanomaterials’.
