The European Food and Safety Authority (EFSA) published its work plan for 2013 on Friday, March 1, 2013. In 2013 EFSA will continue to evaluate plastic food contact materials and recycling processes. EFSA’s experts will also aim to develop guidance in various areas including food contact materials. The Work Plan says that EFSA will continue to engage a wide range of stakeholders via the Stakeholder Consultative Platform, workshops and technical meetings. Continuous dialogue with other European partners including the Commission, the Parliament and the Council of Ministers shall be maintained.
