On November 5, 2013 the European Member of Parliament Corinne Lepage (Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe) organizes a lunch meeting to launch the new Policy from Science Project report entitled “A cure for bias in chemicals policy”. The lunch meeting will take place in the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium and discuss more robust and transparent approaches to the use of expert opinions in chemical safety review. It draws primarily from experiences with the safety review of bisphenol A (BPA). The new report proposes a systematic review to resolve debates about chemicals safety and enhance the scientific authority of EU agencies.
