On March 11, 2015 the non-governmental organization (NGO) Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL) reported about a new book called “Endocrine disruptors: the invisible threat”. The book (in French), published on March 12, 2015, was written by Marine Jobert, an environmental journalist, and François Veillerette, a spokesperson for the French NGO Générations Futures’. According to the book, EDCs are an invisible threat, as they are often authorized chemicals, but undetectable to the naked eye and with long-lasting impacts. Furthermore, despite being a major public health problem, EDCs are absent from many political discussions and, as a result, invisible in the public debate.
