In an article published on April 25, 2016 the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) announced that it will publish additional information from substance registrations under the European regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) at the end of June 2016. This will include, among others, toxicity endpoint summaries, exposure scenarios, nanoforms of registered substances, and justifications for providing a reduced set of the information requirements under REACH. Initially, this information will be made available only for new and updated registration dossiers. After the last REACH registration deadline in 2018, this information will also be published for older registration dossiers. Companies can request that some of the information remains confidential.
