From September 11 to 13, 2012 nearly 200 experts gathered to discuss the issues of low dose effects and non-monotonic dose response curves. Many experts participating were in agreement that both low dose effects and non-monotonic dose response curves exist. It was proposed that some amendments should be made to current risk assessment in order to account for the risks associated with these concerns.
