The Department of Ecology for the U.S. state of Washington will host two webinars to inform the public about current activities within their ongoing assessment of alternatives to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in food packaging. The first webinar will be a project update and take place on January 28, 2020 at 11:00 PST. It will “provide a summary of the current project activities and the expanded scope” of the alternatives assessment, which will now consider additional packaging types. The second webinar will present on the development of the hazard and exposure assessment modules within the alternatives assessment and take place on February 11, 2020 at 11:00 PST.
