On October 17, 2013 the Food Packaging Forum will hold a workshop on the "Threshold of Toxicological Concern (TTC) for risk assessment of food contact material chemicals". The TTC is a concept used by regulators, academic scientists and industry experts to assess the health risk of a chemical in the absence of toxicological data. The workshop will provide independent, balanced, and up to date scientific information on the TTC’s scientific background, and a platform for extensive discussion on the TTC and its use in chemical safety assessments.
