On June 21, 2019, the European Food Safety Authority’s (EFSA) Food Ingredients and Packaging Unit published the minutes of the first meeting of its Working Group on Bisphenol S (WG-BPS). The meeting was held on June 6, 2019 via phone conference.
During the meeting, the group discussed “a draft summary of the effects observed in the [extended one-generation reproductive toxicity study] (EOGRTS)” as presented by experts from Belgian authorities [EFSA-Q-2019-00299]. The meeting minutes report that “a deeper analysis of the results, according to the experts’ areas of expertise, was committed in view of the next WG meeting.” The next meeting is scheduled to take place on July 4, 2019.
