On January 20, 2017 the European Food Safety Authority’s (EFSA) Panel on Food Contact Materials, Enzymes, Flavourings and Processing Aids (CEF Panel) published the latest update of the meeting minutes of its Working Group on Food Contact Materials (WG-FCM). The 19th meeting of the WG-FCM was held by phone conference on December 21, 2016 and involved the WG’s subgroup on uncertainty guidance. The subgroup discussed “the drafts proposed for the implementation of the Uncertainty guidance [sic!] in an opinion selected for the trial phase.” The subgroup noted that more discussion will be needed to finalize the exercise. Also, tasks were assigned to the WG members for the next meeting. No further detailed information was provided in the meeting minutes.
The next meeting of the WG-FCM is scheduled to take place on January 18-19, 2017.
