On May 5, 2016 the non-profit organization Environmental Working Group (EWG) launched a new platform called “Rethinking Cancer,” focusing on environmental causes of cancer as an integral part of cancer prevention. EWG raises the question “What if low-dose mixtures of chemicals are acting together in ways that add to the burden of cancer?” and concludes: “If humans are causing a disease, humans can prevent it.” The platform offers, amongst others, a regularly updated blog, a research section, as well as an “ask an expert” option.
