On September 13, 2017, the non-profit organization BizNGO released a model corporate chemicals policy that brands and manufacturers can use to “develop and strengthen their chemicals policies.” The model chemicals policy was developed by BizNGO’s chemicals work group and builds on the Environmental Defense Fund’s (EDF) model chemicals policy for retailers of formulated products. Further, BizNGO’s model policy is in line with the Chemical Footprint Project (CFP) survey questions (FPF reported) and includes examples and resources from different companies.
