On November 14, 2019, the non-governmental organization the International Chemical Secretariat (ChemSec) announced it will host an event in Brussels, Belgium titled “Ready, Set, Substitute It Now!” The event is set to “launch a major update to the SIN List, adding both new substances and new substance categories to it.” In addition, talks will be given by policy makers, progressive companies, and scientists. The program will also include “panel discussions and workshops on how to best substitute these hazardous chemicals.” More information about the event’s schedule and registration will be announced in September.
