On January 7, 2019, the European Food Safety Authority’s (EFSA) Panel on Food Contact Materials, Enzymes and Processing Aids (CEP Panel) published the minutes of the fifth meeting of its Working Group (WG) on BPA reevaluation. The meeting was held on December 10, 2018 by phone.
During the fifth meeting, the WG “went over the further results of the study appraisal for both animal and epidemiological studies and the outcome was discussed by the group.” Furthermore, “the approach for appraisal of the internal validity of the studies has been calibrated.”
The next meeting of the WG is scheduled to be held on January 22nd and 23, 2019 in Parma, Italy.
