On June 11, 2020, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will hold a webinar on the most recent developments in analytical and monitoring methods for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Presentations will include recent work on worldwide trends in tracing PFAS in the environment, the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) analytical methods for PFAS, and the development of European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) test methods for analyzing PFAS in textiles and leather. Registration for the webinar is free.

On June 23, 2020, the North American branch of the International Life Sciences Institute (ISLI) will hold a virtual symposium on the scientific gaps for risk assessment of PFAS in food and food packaging. The event will feature presentations on screening and qualification workflows for PFAS in food packaging, method development to investigate PFAS in the US food supply, developing international performance standards and methods for PFAS, and challenges associated with the analytics of PFAS in food and food contact materials. An agenda for the event has been published, and registration is free or discounted for many stakeholders and $50 for industry non-ILSI members.
